Our History & Philosophy

Owners and founders Howard and Valerie Petretta made their way into the telecommunications business in 1989, answering for physicians in the South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia areas. 

For several years prior to forming the new medical answering service, Howard Petretta served as both Director of Biomedical Engineering and Director of Telecommunications at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.  With doctors frequently expressing dissatisfaction for their answering services, Howard and Valerie saw an opportunity to improve the quality of after-hours services provided to the physicians in the area by starting a business of their own.

With over ten years experience as a registered nurse at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, Valerie Petretta continues to provide unique training to all of our operators, emphasizing the urgency in the nature of the medical answering service business.  The training also helps to familiarize the operators in other various aspects of medicine such as medical definitions and terminology, as well as hospital and nursing home protocols.

As technology in the industry has advanced, so has our answering service.  These advancements have led to improvements in accuracy and efficiency in our daily operations.  We continue to use these advancements in technology to improve our operations wherever possible.
